Storage & Session Transparency

Cookie & Storage Policy

Last reviewed and updated: September 2026

At Lushai Dev, we believe the internet is heavily burdened by invasive surveillance scripts, advertising cookies, and cross-site behavioral tracking. We take a fundamentally different approach.

We do not use tracking pixels, ad-tech cookies, or third-party behavioral profiling. This policy explains what browser cookies and local storage tokens we use, their exact technical purpose, and how you retain complete control over your browser data.

1. Zero Third-Party Advertising or Tracking Cookies

Our core commitment is simple:

No Surveillance Tech on Lushai Dev:

We do NOT load Facebook Pixel, Google AdSense, TikTok trackers, retargeting cookies, or third-party data brokerage scripts. Your browsing activity on our developer portal is never sold or shared with advertisers.

2. Strictly Necessary Authentication Cookies

When you sign into the Lushai Dev developer console or administrative dashboard, we set secure, encrypted session cookies required to verify your identity:

  • Session Token: An encrypted JWT authentication cookie that confirms your developer account status while navigating between dashboard tabs. It includes strict SameSite=Lax and Secure flags.
  • CSRF Mitigation Token: Protects your account against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks when submitting forms, generating keys, or managing webhooks.

3. Local Storage for Developer Convenience

In addition to HTTP cookies, our web application uses standard browser localStorage and sessionStorage for client-side tool performance:

  • Tool Working State: The HTML Runner and Syntax Checker save your active draft locally so your code snippets are not lost if you accidentally refresh the page.
  • UI Preferences: Remembers your preferred programming language tab (cURL, Node.js, PHP, or Python) on product showcase pages for a streamlined reading experience.

Note: All data stored in localStorage remains strictly on your computer and is never automatically synchronized to our backend servers.

4. How to Inspect, Clear, or Disable Cookies

You have full control over all stored cookies and web storage. You can inspect or delete them at any time directly through your web browser:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → See all site data and permissions.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
  • Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Please note that clearing strictly necessary session cookies will require you to log back into your developer console account on your next visit.
